I remember having my grandmother and mother read various picture books when I was a child. Among them, the princess of “Sleeping Beauty” (Sleeping Beauty, France: La Belle au Bois dormant) was very cute and beautiful, and I longed for her very much. Why are men attracted to sleeping women? The same applies to Snow White. I directed the fashion shooting under the theme of “Sleeping Beauty.” As the title suggests, I wanted to look beautiful as if she were sleeping, so I asked models to make facial expressions with downward cuts. As you can see from my work, I haven’t taken a single model photo with her eyes wide open. I guess the photographer had a hard time catching moments well-suited for the concept.
